MISSOURI: House Bill To Establish Pet Appreciation Month

UPDATE:  House Bill 1404 was passed by the House on March 8th and was sent to the Senate Committee on General Laws for further action.


NEW YORK: Erie County Legislature To Hold Hearing On Establishing Animal Abuse Registry

UPDATE:  A proposed local law, establishing an Erie County animal abuse registry, was heard before the County Legislature's Energy & Environment Committee on May 3rd.  The measure will possibly be up for a vote at the committee's May 17th meeting.


NEW YORK: New York Bill Restricting Bird Sales Passes Committee

UPDATE: AB 1767 passed the Assembly Codes Committee with an amendment on January 27th and was sent to the Assembly Agriculture Committee. Its companion, SB 1253, was amended in the Senate Agriculture Committee on May 11, 2011.
