MICHIGAN: Ionia City Council To Adopt Animal BansDate Posted: December 19, 2011 UPDATE: Ordinance No. 491 which would ban the personal ownership of "exotic, rare, or dangerous" animals and phase out pit bull terrier ownership was voted down by a 5-3 vote at the City Council's January 3rd meeting. The ordinance will be reintroduced at the February Council Meeting without the breed specific language.
MICHIGAN: Pet Warranty Law Introduced In MichiganDate Posted: August 30, 2011 UPDATE: Senate Bill 574 imposes new pet warranty provisions on dog and cat sellers in Michigan. The bill passed the Senate Committee on Regulatory Reform with a substitute on September 22nd and is currently on its 2nd reading in the Senate.
